A brush fire burned 12 acres Friday evening, May 3, in the hills above the intersection of Reche Canyon Road and High Country Drive, north of Moreno Valley.
The fire was reported at 6:05 p.m. and contained at 7:15 p.m., Cal Fire reported on its website. No injuries or damage to houses were reported. A resident of the area said the fire burned several bee hives being maintained by a beekeeper.
The cause of the Country Fire, named by Cal Fire, is under investigation.
Two helicopters, two air tankers and 120 firefighters put out the flames.
